For the POPPY VINTAGE line, AWA reuses vintage textiles sourced from clothing, household linens, and interior fabrics.
Marked by time — sometimes worn, damaged, or imperfect — these materials are given a new life through their most beautiful printed or embroidered patterns, carefully cut and reinterpreted.
This work highlights the quality and craftsmanship of the past, standing in contrast to the culture of instant consumption.
Each motif is then applied onto dense wool loden, with a hand-stitched buttonhole
AWA continues the tradition of textile accessories such as bow ties, fabric boutonnieres, or pocket handkerchiefs once folded in jackets.
These nearly forgotten details bring contrast, sparkle, and personality — a subtle way to communicate, sometimes with a touch of humour.

Rework of old textiles to make button brooches, unique pieces designed to be buttoned directly onto a shirt, cardigan, or other garment — or pinned using their button pin.
The button brooch was born from the desire to create a pin-free brooch for my daughters — a small, colourful jewel that’s safe for curious little hands.
From the start, there was also the wish to upcycle old wool scarves with floral motifs, transforming them into unique accessories.
